DIY Balm For Dry & Chapped Lips

When you have chapped lips, the struggle is really looking for ways of softening them. Because you need to moisturize them so they won’t get worse over time. Thus, keep on reading and see how you can keep your lips soft with a DIY balm for dry and chapped lips.

First of all, you need to exfoliate the lips before going full force with a lip balm. Thus, to exfoliate your lips, you will need a teaspoon of cocoa powder, one tablespoon of honey and one of brown sugar.

Furthermore, to make this exfoliating scrub, mix the ingredients very well in a small container where you can store it. Then, simply take a small amount to rub into your lips using your fingers. Do not overdo it, simply massaging it will be enough. Let it on for more 5 minutes and then rinse it off so you can apply the lip balm.

Hence, for the DIY lip balm, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of shea butter
  • 1 teaspoon of almond oil
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated beeswax
  • 5 drops vanilla extract
  • 5 white chocolate chips.

A little tip: the storage will be easier if you use an old lip balm container.

How to prepare this DIY:

Simply combine the honey, almond and olive oils in a small bowl. Then, you can add the 5 drops of vanilla extract.

Next, melt the beeswax in a microwave safe bowl and add the chocolate chips and heat again. Make sure you both are fully melted.

Moreover, add the beeswax in the bowl with the other ingredients and stir well to combine them all together.

Lastly, make sure you transfer this mixture quickly in the clean lip balm container. Now, you could wait for it to solidify but I like to add it in the freezer to speed up the process.

That’s all. Now, you can apply this amazing DIY lip balm and say bye bye to your chapped lips because they will look so soft and healthy!
